This Privacy Policy explains how Rent Curves Inc ("Rent Curves," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Rent Curves website, application, and rent-calculation tools (the "Service"). It applies to Farmers, Landowners, and other visitors and users of the Service, and should be read together with our Terms of Use.

Because a rent calculation typically involves two parties — a Farmer and a Landowner — and one of them may not have a Rent Curves account, the registered User may enter or share information about that other individual, such as their name, contact information, and the field and financial data relevant to the arrangement between them ("Counterparty Information").
If you submit Counterparty Information, you confirm that you have the right to do so and, where required by applicable law, that you have informed that individual of this Privacy Policy or otherwise obtained any consent needed. An individual who is the subject of Counterparty Information but does not have an account may contact us at legal@rentcurves.com with questions about that information, as described in Section 8.4.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar requirements, we process personal data on the following legal bases, as applicable: performance of a contract with you (to provide the Service you signed up for); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Service and understand usage), balanced against your rights; your consent (for example, for certain cookies or marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
We and our analytics provider use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some features of the Service. Where required by law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
We retain account and field/financial data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service (including because purchased Credits do not expire), and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. We retain Counterparty Information for as long as reasonably needed for the same purposes. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may access, update, or correct your account information by logging into the Service or contacting us at legal@rentcurves.com. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails; you may still receive transactional and account-related messages.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request deletion or correction of that information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA. You may submit a request by emailing legal@rentcurves.com; we may need to verify your identity before completing your request.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and to object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@rentcurves.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA or UK (including to the United States), we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism, to protect that data.
If you are a Farmer or Landowner who does not have a Rent Curves account but whose information was submitted by another User as Counterparty Information, you may contact us at legal@rentcurves.com to ask what information about you we hold, to request its correction or deletion (subject to the account holder's need to maintain accurate calculation records), or with other privacy questions.
The Service is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@rentcurves.com so we can address it.
Rent Curves is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, and processed in, the United States and other countries that may have data protection laws different from those of your home jurisdiction, as described in Section 8.3.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by posting an updated "Last Updated" date, by email, or through the Service). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
